I had employed another home care agency prior to Arcadia, which only resulted in more stress being added to my life. Schedules and caregivers were constantly changed, providing no stability for an already difficult situation. Arcadia Home Care assessed our situation and provided two wonderful, caring, loving, and completely trustworthy women to shoulder the responsibility of caring for my parents. Arcadia Home Care is family – they are there whenever you need them – all hours of the day and night, any day of the week. They become an extension of yourself and you will feel that they love your loved ones as much as you do.
Compassionate In-Home Palliative Care for Enhanced Quality of Life
Palliative care is a holistic approach aimed at alleviating pain and improving the quality of life for individuals living with chronic diseases or those nearing the end of life. Hospice palliative care is suitable for anyone, regardless of their diagnosis, prognosis, or age, who has unmet needs or requires additional support while facing a life-threatening illness.
Palliative home care focuses on providing comfort and dignity for the patient while addressing their physical, psychological, social, cultural, emotional, and spiritual needs. Relief from pain and other symptoms is a vital aspect of palliative care, ensuring the patient and their family can fully focus on their well-being and quality of life.
Our Approach to In-Home Care

The compassion, care, support, and energy that Arcadia has all put into your time with the client is truly over and above anything I could have imagined. He was so blessed to have such a wonderful group of caregivers and that you were able to be there for him through this extremely difficult time.
Arcadia Home Care has been exceptional in their customer service and care. Right from the beginning of the engagement, we felt that our mother was going to be taken care of and her unique requirements were going to be met. Not only have Dyan and Rohit been great to deal with, but also each and every caregiver they have selected has been fantastic. Each caregiver is experienced and knows how to deal with patients with Dementia. We would highly recommend Arcadia Home Care to anyone we know. Thank you Arcadia Home Care Team!
Arcadia Home Care was good with Dad and with me. I would like you to know what that meant to both of us. I will be sure to let people know what Arcadia did for me and my father.
The client spoke very highly of Chris. While I did not meet Chris, she was described as friendly, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond. My client greatly appreciated Chris meeting with her Physiotherapist to learn the exercises so she could support her with them during her sessions.
Arcadia set up a care plan for my mother with carefully chosen caregivers who provide a watchful eye, help her around the house, keep her active and occupied. My husband and I recently went on our first vacation in three years because I was confident that my mother was in good hands.
As one temporarily disabled and bed-ridden by a fall causing head injury and concussion that shook up my entire system, the care, comfort and care I received from Arcadia Home Care and their intervention with the various care agencies on my behalf are truly unforgettable. I will always be grateful. During that same period, I also developed acute hernia discomfort. Once again Arcadia worked on my behalf interceding in arranging the necessary surgery on my behalf, saving time and unnecessary distress. Let me add: the staff they supply for personnel comfort and assistance are in a class by themselves. Special mention to Rohit himself and his ever willing and helpful right-hand Margaret. I cannot recommend them too highly. Whatever the problem. Arcadia is always there. Above and beyond the call.

Yes, we have a diverse group of trained PSWs and Nurses who speak various languages such as Tagalog, Hindi, Farsi, Portuguese, Italian, and Mandarin, etc.
We offer services in Toronto, GTA, Brampton, Mississauga, Pickering, Markham, Vaughan, Ajax, Oshawa, Niagara, Orillia, Barrie and Thunder Bay.
Our cost is dependent on the complexity of care, the type of service, and the care plan as well as any applicable insurance coverage. An individual with more complex health care needs or an individual who cannot direct their own care will require a staff member with more knowledge and experience, and therefore the cost will be higher.
In Ontario, the former designations of health care aid, homemaker, attendant, etc., were all replaced by the category of worker known as a Personal Support Worker (PSW). PSW receives an average of six months of training – three to four months in the classroom and two months of internship or practical experience. Some receive additional training in Rehabilitation and Restorative Care and care of the person with Alzheimer's Disease. A Registered Nurse will do an initial assessment to identify risk factors, develop a Care Plan, and provide ongoing supervision for the PSW'S. Other health care professionals are employed (or requested through the local Community Care Access Centre (CCAC)) as required to meet individual needs. This may include a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Foot Care Registered Nurse, or Registered Practical Nurse.
At Arcadia Home Care, we carefully assess the needs of each individual and match them with a qualified PSW, who can best meet their needs in terms of personality, language, and culture. Sometimes we will employ a student who is upgrading or retraining as a PSW but who has valuable previous experience with certification from another province or the United States. These employees include nurses, physicians, and nursing aides who have been foreign-trained.
