We're often asked:

"Can you just provide myself or my parents with housekeeping?"

Yes, we absolutely can. But our commitment goes beyond just housekeeping.

Our Approach to In-Home Care

We understand the trust that comes with letting someone into your home, a home filled with years of memories and valuable possessions. We also recognize the unique bond that forms between the elderly and their caregivers.

But what if, over time, your loved one's needs change? What if they require more than just housekeeping? This is where Arcadia Home Care shines.

With Arcadia Home Care, you can focus on your career and children, knowing that your parents' health and home are in caring, capable hands.

Why Choose Arcadia Home Care

Continuity of Care

You're busy, and the last thing you need is the stress of switching providers as your parents' needs evolve. With Arcadia, there's no need for that. Our skilled caregivers provide a broad spectrum of services, adapting effortlessly from basic housekeeping to personalized care.

Health Awareness

We don’t just clean your house, we also pay attention to the well-being of your loved ones. Our team is trained to be aware of crucial health details. Like the elderly couple whose housekeeper was unintentionally aiding an unhealthy diet. Our caregivers would spot that and take corrective measures.

Earned Trust

We know the importance of trust when it comes to caring for your loved ones. Our team is dependable, respectful, and trained to address your concerns with the highest level of professionalism.

Need to talk things over?

Yes, we have a diverse group of trained PSWs and Nurses who speak various languages such as Tagalog, Hindi, Farsi, Portuguese, Italian, and Mandarin, etc.

We offer services in Toronto, GTA, Brampton, Mississauga, Pickering, Markham, Vaughan, Ajax, Oshawa, Niagara, Orillia, Barrie and Thunder Bay.

Our cost is dependent on the complexity of care, the type of service, and the care plan as well as any applicable insurance coverage. An individual with more complex health care needs or an individual who cannot direct their own care will require a staff member with more knowledge and experience, and therefore the cost will be higher.

In Ontario, the former designations of health care aid, homemaker, attendant, etc., were all replaced by the category of worker known as a Personal Support Worker (PSW). PSW receives an average of six months of training – three to four months in the classroom and two months of internship or practical experience. Some receive additional training in Rehabilitation and Restorative Care and care of the person with Alzheimer's Disease. A Registered Nurse will do an initial assessment to identify risk factors, develop a Care Plan, and provide ongoing supervision for the PSW'S. Other health care professionals are employed (or requested through the local Community Care Access Centre (CCAC)) as required to meet individual needs. This may include a Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Foot Care Registered Nurse, or Registered Practical Nurse.

At Arcadia Home Care, we carefully assess the needs of each individual and match them with a qualified PSW, who can best meet their needs in terms of personality, language, and culture. Sometimes we will employ a student who is upgrading or retraining as a PSW but who has valuable previous experience with certification from another province or the United States. These employees include nurses, physicians, and nursing aides who have been foreign-trained.

Arcadia Home Care offers a range of services to suit the varied needs of your loved ones. We provide housekeeping services including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation, as well as personal support work as needs evolve. This could involve help with daily activities, medication management, and other aspects of health care.

At Arcadia Home Care, we understand that health needs can change over time. You will not need to find another service provider. Our caregivers are trained to adapt to these changes and provide a range of services, ensuring a seamless transition from housekeeping to more comprehensive care.

Our caregivers are trained to monitor and report any noticeable changes in your loved one's health. This includes keeping an eye on their dietary habits, daily activities, and overall well-being. We believe that a clean home and a balanced diet are crucial for healthy living.

We understand the trust you place in us and we don't take it lightly. All our caregivers undergo a rigorous selection process and training to ensure they are not only qualified but also share our values of empathy, respect, and professionalism.

We recognize your time is precious. That's why we are committed to keeping you informed about your parents' health and well-being. Our caregivers will communicate with you regularly, report any changes, and are always available to answer your questions.

Simply get in touch with us via phone, email, or through our website. We'll discuss your needs, answer your questions, and guide you through the process to ensure that your parents receive the care they deserve.
